Media News: Pinterest launches shoppable gift guides

Plus, Ideon signs with Vertiqal, and Involved expands its global network.

Pinterest launches curated, shoppable holiday gift guides

Holiday shopping can be overwhelming but Pinterest is removing the stress with new gift guides and shopping features.

Today the platform launched over 1,000 curated, shoppable gift guides, created by celebrities such as Paris Hilton and RuPaul, brands and publishers. They allow Pinterest users to shop directly from the platform using new product features and cover 27 categories from fashion and beauty to travel and gaming.

New product features include the option to create personalized shoppable wishlists and share gift ideas. With the new Quick Save feature, users can find and save Pins from one of the gift guides. Pinterest will then automatically pull those saved Pins into the user’s shoppable wishlist. Additionally, the new Holiday Finds tab provides a personalized feed of gifts tailored to individual Pinterest users based on their searches and saves. This feature is experimental and will roll out over the next few weeks.

Pinterest gift guides include deals from brands such as Rare Beauty, Savage X Fenty, and Carhartt along with gift picks from leading publishers, including Vogue, The Strategist, Air Mail, and Refinery 29.
