Pattison Outdoor Advertising has teamed up with Montreal-based bike sharing system Bixi to serve as the exclusive representative of its ad inventory.
The partnership will enable local and national advertisers to gain street-level visibility through static billboards and Bixi bikes starting in winter 2025. Bixi’s inventory includes 200 stations and 2,000 bikes with OOH ads.
With more than one in four Montrealers using Bixi by 2024, the network is one of the city’s most important transportation systems. Over the past 16 years, the company has experienced a significant growth, now boasting more than 11,000 bikes and nearly 1,000 stations across Greater Montreal, according to its data.
Dominic Loporcaro, VP and general manager of the Eastern Region at Pattison, said the partnership reinforces the company’s commitment to combine its expertise with innovative and environmentally friendly urban initiatives while offering downtown and street-level visibility. The partnership follows Pattison’s addition of Montreal’s Réseau Express Métropolitain all-electric transit system in 2023.
Overall, the company handles sales for 38 transit authorities across Canada, including almost all transit authorities within the GTA except Durham Transit. This includes the Toronto Transit Commission and the Brampton Transit, as well as transit authorities in Mississauga, York, Burlington, Oakville and Barrie.
