The latest AdEase report shows that The Brick Warehouse dominated the TV market for the week of Dec 30 to Jan 5.
With 3,976 combined occurrences, The Brick placed first in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto, while coming third in Montreal. Nationally in the specialty category, the retailer took second place, behind Sleep Country, having increased its spend compared to the previous TV buying week, when it made 3,584 occurrences.
Crave TV ranked as the second most active advertiser, with 2,772 total occurrences, followed by Peloton Interactive (1,783), McDonald’s (1,596) and A&W Restaurant (1,580). Compared to last week, Crave and Peloton decreased their purchases, while McDonald’s and A&W increased their spend.
A&W Restaurant moved up the most positions in the Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto rankings (with 320, 151 and 330 spots, respectively). Meanwhile, Hellofresh jumped 135 positions in Montreal.
The highest spending groups were QSRs, furniture stores, TV and streaming services, and online travel agency.
