Canadian Blood Services shifts media account to Cairns Oneil

The agency will help launch a new brand platform and campaign for the organization this year.

Cairns Oneil Strategic Media is kicking off the new year with a new client.

Following a competitive review, which began in Spring 2024 and was managed by the client, the Canadian Blood Services has selected Cairns Oneil as its media AOR. The independent agency will be responsible for all media planning and buying for the organization, starting with a new brand platform and campaign in 2025.

“Canadian Blood Services plays a vital role in health systems in Canada,” says Devon MacDonald, president of Cairns Oneil. “This will be some of the most important work of our lives.”

Canadian Blood Services is a not-for-profit charitable organization regulated by Health Canada, and is primarily funded by the provincial and territorial ministries of health. It operates with a national scope, infrastructure and governance that make it unique within Canadian healthcare. Canadian Blood Services provides blood, plasma and stem cell services for patients on behalf of all provincial and territorial governments except Quebec.
