Blue Door is acquiring Bridge Digital, a Toronto-based agency specializing in data and results-driven digital marketing solutions.
With expertise in digital strategy, website development, social media management and SEO/SEM, Bridge will now offer expanded services and strengthen Blue Door’s client portfolio with the addition of key accounts such as Lactalis Canada, California Wines, Dairy Farmers of Ontario and World’s Finest Chocolate.
Bridge founders Andrew Verescak and Rob McLaren, as well as their team, joined Blue Door on January 2. Verescak assumed the role of chief growth officer, focusing on building the client roster, cross-selling the current portfolio and expanding into new markets, while McLaren became the agency’s first chief marketing officer.
The acquisition comes at an important phase of growth for Blue Door, which recently secured major contracts with companies such as Ripley’s Aquarium, Canadian Opera Company and Longo’s. In February last year, it was also recognized as Startup Business of the Year by the Canadian SME National Business Awards.
Founded in 2017, Blue Door operates across Canada and specializes in traditional media, digital advertising and brand design. Its current clients include GE Appliances, Toronto Police Association and Food and Beverage Ontario.
“As an agency, we cannot stay in a comfort zone which is why we’re always on the lookout for exceptional talent and ideas to keep Blue Door at the forefront of marketing excellence,” said Laura Silver, founder and chief executive officer at Blue Door. “This acquisition achieves that goal and addresses evolving client expectations to offer integrated work across digital, PR and design. When we are truly versatile, we are in a position to meet the needs of our clients in more meaningful ways.”
