GroupM levels up leadership team

Emily Del Greco has been tasked with handling operations, partnerships, strategy and corporate development.

GroupM has appointed Emily Del Greco as its new global COO.

Del Greco will officially join the agency in February to handle operations, partnerships, strategy, and corporate development across GroupM. As partner at McKinsey & Company in New York for the past five years, she brings operational expertise and experience in driving innovation, market disruption, and growth to her new role. Del Greco also previously held leadership positions at MightyHive, Adelphic and Google.

GroupM is further investing in its global leadership team with the promotions of Adam Gerhart, Toby Jenner and Mark Patterson to global chief client officer, global chief business officer and global president, markets and business operations, respectively.

Gerhart will oversee major accounts and client engagement across all GroupM agencies globally. Jenner will drive global development through growth, marketing, and cross-WPP integration projects. Meanwhile, Patterson will oversee its growth markets in APAC, LATAM as well as key investment, offshoring, and sports and entertainment initiatives.

There are no departures associated with these changes. Stuart Diamond (CFO global), Marie-Claire Barker (CPO global), Sharb Farjami (CEO NA), Josh Krichefski (CEO EMEA), and Cesar Recalde (CEO LATAM) continue in their roles as part of GroupM’s global leadership team.

“GroupM’s agencies remain fundamental to the way we service clients and will continue to be managed at the country level by their market CEOs,” the company said in a statement. “Global agency operations will be managed by a president for global client solutions who will oversee delivery for global and multinational clients at each agency.”
