Optable, an identity management and data collaboration platform, has raised $20 million in a funding round led by Telus Global Ventures with backing from major investors including Hearst Ventures and Deloitte Ventures.

With the new funding, Optable aims to expand its platform and strengthen its partnerships in the U.S., while boosting its services in Canada (where it is headquartered), to help media owners securely manage audience data. “In 2025, we’re expanding our focus to work with innovative publishers, media companies and platforms, helping them make their data actionable and impactful,” said Yves Poiré, co-founder and CEO of Optable. “Managing identity and audience data effectively is now critical for every player in the ecosystem, and Optable’s interoperable platform has already earned trust in the market for solving these challenges and delivering real results.”

Optable offers tools to securely activate and monetize audience data. By providing identity management and cleanroom solutions, the company enables media companies to securely leverage, enrich and activate audience data. This supports sustainable revenue growth while adhering to strict privacy standards, ensuring that data is used in a responsible and transparent manner.

According to Optable, the funding comes on the heels of a good year for the company, which now powers numerous data monetization solutions for publishers and media companies around the world, including Raptive, Hearst and The Globe & Mail.
