The latest AdEase report shows that Spence Diamonds was the most active advertiser on radio in the week of Jan 27 to Feb 2.
With 4,260 combined occurrences, the retailer landed first in Edmonton, while coming in second in Vancouver and Calgary, ninth in Ottawa, and tenth in Toronto. The company was also the most active radio advertiser last week, with 4,746 combined instances.
Following closely behind was Subway restaurants, which recorded 4,255 occurrences. The QSR, however, decreased its presence compared to the previous radio buying week, when it recorded 4,445 total occurrences. BCE (Bell) ranked as the third most active marketer, with 2,593 occurrences, followed by Desjardins Group (3,459 occurrences) and Subaru dealers (2,202 occurrences). Compared to last week, all three advertisers increased their buy.
Alberta Gaming, Liquor And Cannabis Commission was the advertiser that moved up the most, jumping 287 spots in Calgary and 137 in Edmonton.
Category-wise, the top spending groups were QSRs, jewelry stores, dine-in restaurants and bars, grocery stores and supermarkets, internet services, and lottery draws.
