BBC Studios partners with Canadian-based The Podcast Exchange

The move will see TPX serve as the exclusive third-party advertising reseller for BBC podcasts in Canada.

BBC Studios, producer and global distributor of audio content from the BBC, on Thursday announced a deal with The Podcast Exchange (TPX) that will see TPX serve as the exclusive third-party advertising reseller for BBC podcasts in Canada. According to the BBC, the move will provide Canadian brands and agencies with access to one of the most popular podcast portfolios in the global marketplace.

Currently, BBC Studios is home to a broad selection of podcasts listened to by Canadian audiences, including Global News Podcast, World of Secrets, You’re Dead to Me, Football Daily and History’s Secret Heroes. The partnership with TPX – a Canadian podcast advertising network – aims to deliver campaigns that resonate with Canadian consumers and bring opportunities to advertisers seeking engaged Canadian audiences, the BBC says.

The partnership follows on a string of recent announcements by BBC Studios in the audio space, including the launch of an audio production unit to maximize creative opportunities in the global market and a deal with Triton Digital to leverage Triton platforms and insights tools.

As part of this new partnership with TPX, the BBC will now be added to the Canada Triton ranker, a monthly rank of the top-performing podcasts, publishers and sales networks in the market.
