Tim Hortons topped the list of most active advertisers for the week of July 7 to 13, according to the latest AdEase TV report.

The QSR dominated the TV landscape, ranking first in Vancouver and Calgary, and securing third spot in Toronto and Montreal, with a total of 2,943 occurrences. This marks a continuation of its strong performance from the previous week, when it led the charts with 2,343 total occurrences. The spots are driving visibility for the brand’s Supreme Stack sandwich, alongside its donut and coffee promotions.

The Brick Warehouse surged to second place with 2,370 combined occurrences, a notable jump for the retailer that had not featured in the previous week’s top 10. The brand’s return to the ranking was fueled by a promotional ad highlighting its lower appliance prices, showcasing “thousands of appliances on sale.”

McDonald’s secured third place with 2,638 combined occurrences, up from last week. CIBC and TD Canada Trust rounded out the top five, with 2,031 and 1,853 occurrences, respectively, both posting gains in occurrences from the prior week.

On the category side, QSRs dominated the lists in major Canadian cities. TV and streaming services, furniture stores and online travel agencies also feature prominently. In Toronto, lottery draws are a significant category, while Montreal shows strong demand for TV and streaming services.
