The Brick Warehouse topped the list of the most active TV advertisers during the week of October 6 to 12, according to the latest report from AdEase.

The retailer amassed 2,542 combined occurrences, securing the top spot in Vancouver and Calgary, second place in Toronto and fourth place in Montreal. In the previous week, the advertiser ranked sixth overall, with a total of 1,401 occurrences.

Tim Hortons maintained its second-place position with 2,280 total occurrences, up from the previous week. The restaurant chain promoted its new Thanksgiving Stack and NHL hockey cards (pictured) on TV, featuring Tims ambassadors Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon, along with Team Canada teammate Brad Marchand and legendary goalie Marc-André Fleury, who made a special appearance following his recent retirement announcement.

McDonald’s came in third with volume of 1,840 occurrences, down from the previous week, followed by A&W Restaurant, which also reduced its occurrences to 1,810. Subaru Canada came in fifth with 1,310 total occurrences.

In terms of categories, QSRs ranked highest in all four cities. Furniture stores were another dominant category, ranking second in most cities, with TV and streaming services also featuring prominently.

For city-specific trends, lottery draws and online casinos were more prominent in Toronto, while auto repair services and mattress stores were more represented in Montreal. Calgary’s list featured a strong presence of food delivery services, and Vancouver’s list showed a strong presence of grocery stores and supermarkets.
