Tim Hortons was the most active advertiser on TV during the week of October 13 to 19.
AdEase’s latest report shows that the QSR racked up 2,174 occurrences of ads for its Craveable Wraps and its NHL hockey card campaign (pictured). Tims’ new NHL campaign features the brand’s ambassadors Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon, along with their Canadian national team teammate Brad Marchand and legendary goalie Marc-André Fleury, who made a special appearance following his recent retirement announcement.
In city rankings, the advertiser finished first in Calgary, second in Vancouver and third in Toronto and Montreal.
Meanwhile, after not appearing in any city’s ranking last week, Dairy Queen surged to second place with 1,270 occurrences, driven by ads for its mini Blizzard treats and Sauced & Tossed chicken strip baskets.
Toyota took third spot with 1,175 occurrences, also marking a return to the rankings after a two-week absence. McDonald’s came in fourth with a total of 1,162 occurrences, fewer than last week, followed by CIBC with 1,144 occurrences.
Other advertisers that stood out on the list were RBC Financial Group (673 occurrences), Skip (637 occurrences) and Subaru Canada (634 occurrences).
The most dominant categories were QSRs, TV and streaming services, import SUVs corporate, food delivery services and furniture stores.
