Intact Insurance has signed a new multi-year national partnership with the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) and Team Canada.

The partnership includes the upcoming Milano Cortina Winter Games in February 2026 and the Los Angeles Summer Games in July 2028, complemented by a nationwide campaign with CBC/Radio-Canada to share inspiring stories of Canadian athletes and communities.

As part of the collaboration, Intact will also sponsor William Dandjinou, a prominent member of the Canadian national short track speed skating team since 2019. With the brand as his official sponsor, Dandjinou will benefit from financial support, enabling him to focus on his preparation for the 2026 Winter Games.

Intact is also working with the COC to develop a program to promote sports across Canadian communities, as part of Team Canada 2035, the COC’s 10-year initiative that aims to transform Canada through the power of sport. The brand said more events and joint initiatives will be announced soon.

“By partnering with William Dandjinou and a powerful and respected brand like the Canadian Olympic Committee, we’re not only cheering for Team Canada and supporting athletes who strive for excellence every day, we’re also continuing our legacy of investing in sports partnerships that directly support the communities where we operate,” said Imen Zitouni, SVP and CMO at Intact, in a statement.

The provider of property and casualty insurance has a track record when it comes to supporting Canadian sport.

The company is a long-standing partner of Speed Skating Canada (since 2006) and is the title sponsor of the Centre de glaces sports complex, a home for speed skating in Quebec City. It also recently inked sponsorship deals with new professional leagues as a founding partner, including the Northern Super League, Canada’s first professional women’s soccer league, and the Professional Women’s Hockey League.

CosmoGO launches Pay-Per-View in Canada

CosmoGO, CosmoBlue Media’s new TVOD service in Canada, has launched a new Pay-Per-View (PPV) offering of premium live sports and entertainment.

To launch its PPV lineup, CosmoGO has partnered with SFT Combat, Brazil’s MMA and Xtreme sports destination, and sports streaming platform Fanatiz to offer free live streaming of three events on October 25 and 26: soccer matches Fortaleza vs. Flamengo and Palmeiras vs. Cruzeiro, as well as Outubro Rosa 8, the world’s only annual all-women’s MMA event dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

CosmoGO, launched in September, offers a number of payment tiers including one-time rentals, single purchases and bundle options. It has a library of over 10,000 titles, including Hollywood blockbusters, and IPs from Disney, Paramount, Sony Pictures Entertainment and NBC Universal.

In the coming months, CosmoGO also plans to roll out additional features and options including SVOD and AVOD, to become a multi-platform destination for film, TV, sports, concerts and live events, the company said.
