Horizon Media Canada announced Thursday that it has added three new hires across its business solutions and activations team, marking a growth in headcount by 12 team members this year.
The hires are in response to a series of new business wins and the expansion of existing partnerships with clients, Horizon said. The agency recently secured its first contract with the National Football League in Canada, becoming the league’s media AOR starting with the 2025/2026 season.
As part of the new additions, Robert Nolan joins as director of business solutions, focusing on supporting SharkNinja’s business, an account the agency won in 2024. Nolan brings digital leadership experience from Cairns O’Neil, where he served as digital director. He was also an account director at GroupM and associate director of digital at Mindshare. Prior to that, he spent four years at OMD Canada, where his last position was digital supervisor.
Horizon has also hired Jennifer Liu as strategist of business solutions following her time at Dentsu as a media planner. She will work on the Felix, Asahi Beer USA and AB World Foods accounts. Meanwhile, Purvi Desai has been appointed senior buyer and will be responsible for Revlon, SharkNinja and the Workplace Safety Insurance Board. She comes from Glassroom, where she was a junior digital media specialist.
The hires follow the appointment of Nassab El Eter as director of enterprise solutions in June, a move that, according to Horizon, underscores its expansion in Western Canada. In May, the agency also expanded its digital activation team with three new hires to meet growing demand and campaign execution. Becca Burgess joined as associate director, while Aaron Hinton was named supervisor and Michael Hatswell senior buyer.
Recently, the agency moved operations to The Globe and Mail Centre in Toronto, providing a larger space to support its growing team.
