Pinterest reports Q3 revenue growth, record users

Revenue in Canada and the U.S. grew 9% year-over-year to $786 million.

Pinterest’s Q3 revenue grew 17% year-over-year (YoY) to $1.049 billion (all figures US), with global monthly active users (MAUs) reaching a record 600 million, up 12% from the previous year. In contrast, Q3 2024 saw the company generate $898 million in revenue and 537 million MAUs.

In Canada and the U.S., revenue rose 9% to $786 million compared to the same period last year, driven by a 4% increase in MAUs to 103 million and a 5% rise in average revenue per user (ARPU) to $7.64.

The company reported global net income of just over $92 million for the quarter, representing a 201% increase from $30.5 million in the same period last year. Adjusted EBITDA reached $306 million. Meanwhile, global ARPU grew 5% to $1.78.

“Our investments in AI and product innovation are paying off,” Pinterest CEO Bill Ready said in a statement about the results. “We’ve become a leader in visual search and have effectively turned our platform into an AI-powered shopping assistant for 600 million consumers. In turn, global advertisers are increasingly counting on Pinterest as a go-to search platform to reach their customers and drive sales.”

CFO Julia Donnelly noted during an earnings call that the company saw “pockets of moderating ad spend” in the U.S. and Canada during Q3, primarily due to larger U.S. retailers facing margin pressures from tariff-related issues.

Regarding the company’s fourth-quarter guidance, Donnelly said that the company expects uncertainty to persist in Q4, further impacted by a new tariff on home furnishings. Pinterest expects its Q4 2025 revenue to range from $1.31 billion to $1.33 billion, representing year-over-year growth of 14% to 16%.
