Canadian OOH company UB Media has acquired Pattison Outdoor’s residential network, adding 1,500 screens in more than 500 buildings to its current portfolio of 4,500 screens.

The acquisition bolsters UB Media’s national digital platform, UB TV, expanding its reach in residential communities and urban condominiums. The acquired screens (example pictured) will be upgraded with UB TV’s software and hardware, enabling full-motion video and sound experiences.

All residential screens in the expanded network are expected to be UB TV-enabled by Q1 2026, “uniting the medium under one national platform,” UB said.

Launched in 2024, UB TV integrates both video and audio capabilities across UB’s inventory of place-based digital ads within its four national networks: restobar; cinema; residential; and campus and student housing. UB TV also offers personalized ad placement within curated social feeds that blend entertainment, news and other types of content on partner platforms like TikTok.

According to the company, the platform is designed to make ads feel like they’re part of the content rather than standalone interruptions.

The acquisition, UB Media president Michael Minicucci said, gives UB TV the largest residential screen network in Canada, providing immersive video experiences in the spaces where Canadians live.

“While our roots are in OOH, UB TV is defining something entirely new: video IRL,” Minicucci said. “Pattison’s residential network is a strong complement to our existing portfolio and accelerates our vision of building one cohesive platform that delivers high-impact, contextually relevant video experiences at unmatched scale.”
