The latest report from AdEase shows that the most active advertiser on TV during the week of October 27 to November 2 was BCE (Bell).

BCE racked up 1,794 combined occurrences, placing second in Montreal, fifth in Vancouver and seventh in Calgary and Toronto. The advertiser reported a total of 558 occurrences the previous week, which ran only in the Montreal market.

Tim Hortons remained in second place with 1,384 occurrences for its Craveable Wraps ad, marking a decrease in occurrences from the previous week, when the restaurant chain aired the same spot. Dr. Oetker came in third with 1,295 total occurrences, up from the previous week, followed by Interprovincial Lottery Corporation, which also increased its volume to 1,253.

Subaru Canada rounded out the top five with 1,162 total occurrences.

Other advertisers that made it into the top 10 were City TV (1,162 occurrences), Amazon Canada (1,042 occurrences) and McDonald’s (1,005 occurrences).

In terms of categories, QSRs ranked high in all cities, with brands like Tim Hortons and McDonald’s contribute to the category’s considerable presence. TV and streaming services also had a significant presence thanks to brands like City TV, Crave TV and Bell.

Food delivery services was another dominant category, with companies like Skip and DoorDash among the top advertisers. Department stores rounded out the top categories with retailers like Canadian Tire and Walmart.
