The latest report from AdEase shows that McDonald’s was the most active advertiser on the radio during the week of November 3 to 9.

The QSR racked up 9,798 combined occurrences with ads for its “Monopoly Double Play” campaign (pictured) and its Bacon Buffalo Ranch Deluxe McCrispy. The advertiser finished first in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton, third in Ottawa, fourth in Montreal, sixth in Toronto and ninth in Quebec City. McDonald’s secured second place in last week’s ranking with 6,559 combined occurrences.

Second on the latest ranking was Novo Nordisk, which recorded 9,428 occurrences after topping the list the previous week. Canon Canada climbed to third, with 5,144 combined occurrences – a notable jump from 2,931 the week prior – driven by an ad for its new Canon EOS R50 V.

Spence Diamonds ranked fourth with 5,137 occurrences, up from the previous week, followed by the Government of Quebec, which reduced its number of occurrences to 4,433.

Other advertisers that made the top 10 for the week were Desjardins Group (3,793 occurrences), Walmart (3,454 occurrences) and Air Canada (3,377 occurrences).

Category-wise, the most dominant groups across Canadian cities were QSRs, grocery stores and supermarkets, local government, jewelry stores, airlines and TV and streaming services.
