Google launches AI-powered agents for marketers

The agents learn from advertisers' data, landing pages and real‑time performance to boost Google Ads campaigns.

Google has announced the rollout of Ads Advisor and Analytics Advisor, new AI agents built for marketers and powered by the latest Gemini models.

The tech giant said these AI agents act as partners, learning from each advertiser’s unique datasets, landing pages and real‑time performance measurements to boost their Google Ads campaigns and drive business growth. The tools are now rolling out to all English‑language accounts in Google Ads and Google Analytics, with global availability slated for early December.

Ads Advisor integrates with Google Ads to automate routine tasks and provide personalized recommendations based on the advertiser’s account data. Users can ask specific questions, such as how to optimize a campaign for an upcoming seasonal event, and receive actionable suggestions (like adding sitelink extensions), which can be applied after review. The tool can also generate new keywords, ad assets for Search and Performance Max campaigns and headlines or descriptions for promotions, pulling context from the user’s website, existing keywords and current assets.

Through continuous learning from past interactions, the tool refines its output to better match the user’s preferences. It offers real‑time performance analysis, enabling queries like “How is my campaign performing?” or diagnostic questions such as “Why did my holiday campaign drop?” Additionally, it functions as a policy and performance diagnostic assistant, identifying disapproval reasons, suggesting fixes and, in certain cases, making editable changes (such as updating a URL) subject to user approval.

Analytics Advisor, Google says, is a tool embedded in Google Analytics that makes data analysis accessible for advertisers with instant, personalized answers, visualizations and trend analysis.

According to the company, the conversational AI experience lets users obtain a holistic view of their data without manually navigating reports. Users can ask broad questions such as “How is my site doing?” and receive a tailored pulse check, or pose specific queries like “What have my active users been doing over the last 30 days?” to get immediate insights on key metrics and events, including details like the Measurement ID.

When a user asks a direct question (such as “Why did my active users spike on September 25th?”), Analytics Advisor runs a key‑driver analysis, identifies the most relevant factors and attributes the cause. It then guides the user with follow‑up questions and provides growth recommendations, offering step‑by‑step actions.

This week, Amazon also introduced new AI-powered ad tools to the Canadian market at its UnBoxed event: Ads Agent, a tool designed to draft campaigns, optimize bids, manage cross-channel targeting and facilitate media buying; and the video generator tool that was previously not available here.
