SponsorshipX (SPX) has partnered with 17 Sport to launch SPX Purpose League, a new global community designed to redefine the way sponsorship generates long-term impact and value.
Unveiled at the opening of the SponsorshipX Changemakers Summit in Toronto on Thursday, the league is an invitation‑only network where brands, agencies and rights holders can learn and collaborate. The network, SPX says, will give members access to content, conversations and events that show how purpose can boost commercial returns, deepen stakeholder trust and generate lasting value for both business and society.
The announcement comes as global sport faces a pivotal moment, with the FIFA Men’s World Cup 2026 and the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games approaching. This upcoming mega‑event cycle, SPX says, will challenge sport to do more than entertain – it must also build resilience, drive business results and fortify the communities that support it.
“Sponsorship professionals are rethinking what success looks like,” said Mark Harrison, founder of SponsorshipX. “Purpose-driven partnerships are proving to outperform traditional models on every metric that matters, from brand equity to employee engagement. The SPX Purpose League gives the industry a space to share, learn and lead this transformation.”
SPX is a global community for sponsorship and marketing professionals. It offers curated content, events and networking to support industry innovation.
17 Sport is a global sports‑impact company that offers purpose‑driven marketing and advisory services, aligning brands, athletes and sports properties with business objectives while pursuing social and environmental change.
