Tim Hortons was the most active TV advertiser during the week of November 3 to 9, according to the latest report from AdEase.
Tims racked up 2,097 combined appearances, with one ad for its Craveable Wraps and another for its Biscoff-flavored beverages and treats for the holiday season. It placed first in Vancouver, second in Calgary, fourth in Toronto and sixth in Montreal. The QSR came in second in the previous week’s ranking with 1,384 occurrences.
McDonald’s took second place with 1,990 combined occurrences, up from the previous week, while A&W Restaurant followed with 1,855 total occurrences after missing last week’s ranking. BCE (Bell) landed in fourth place with 1,798 occurrences, up from 1,794 the week before. City TV was fifth with 1,134 occurrences.
Other advertisers that stood out during the week were Subaru (1,113 occurrences), Dr. Oetker (779 occurrences) and Google (627 occurrences).
Across all cities, QSRs were the dominant category. TV and streaming services ranked second or third in every market, while furniture stores placed in the top five in Calgary, Toronto and Montreal.
