Skip teams up with TikTok for first-ever Junos Orange Carpet livestream

The behind-the-scenes broadcast will hosted by Canadian actor and content creator Boman Martinez-Reid.

After signing on as the exclusive delivery app for the Juno Awards, Skip is now partnering with TikTok Canada to host the first-ever livestream from the awards’ Orange Carpet in Vancouver.

Hosted by Canadian actor and content creator Boman Martinez-Reid, the live broadcast will take viewers behind the scenes of the carpet, with celebrity interviews and interactive elements accessible through TikTok. The actor will ask questions about Canadian culture and music to viewers, who can respond via TikTok’s comments section. Additionally, viewers will be invited to participate in a prediction game, making their forecasts during the gala.

This is the first time the Junos Orange Carpet will be streamed live on TikTok prior to the official ceremony.

When Skip partnered with the Juno Awards in February, the company’s VP of marketing Rachel MacAdam said the collaboration allowed the delivery service to show its support for local amid the “Buy Canadian” movement, while enhancing its Skip + rewards program by providing members with exclusive opportunities to participate in the music scene.

The brand has also relied on TikTok and other social media platforms for recent campaigns. For its rebranding campaign in October the company made a significant investment in OOH, with public transit signage and billboards in key markets, as well as TikTok influencers and ads on Spotify, YouTube and Twitch.
