CTV sees Green Gables thrice

Net airs three Anne miniseries and Road to Avonlea episodes to warm viewers up for a new telefilm, Anne of Green Gables: A New Beginning.

Carrots is coming back to the small screen this holiday season. CTV and A-Channel will air three Anne of Green Gables miniseries and episodes from the Emmy Award-winning series Road to Avonlea (date TBA) leading up to the debut of the new three-hour telefilm Anne of Green Gables: A New Beginning.

Written and directed by Emmy award-winning Kevin Sullivan, the CTV original movie is set during WWII and focuses on Anne Shirley – a successful writer who goes to PEI for an extended visit and discovers a long-hidden secret.

Starring Shirley MacLaine, Barbara Hershey and Hannah Endicott-Douglas, the film will premiere on Sunday, Dec. 14 from 7 to 10 pm on CTV.
