Benjamin Moore taps UM Canada for media

The company is consolidating its North American media operations with the shift.

Benjamin Moore has announced UM Canada as its new media agency in the country.

The company hired UM Canada in an effort to consolidate its North American media account. Benjamin Moore works with The Martin Agency on media and creative in the US, and both agencies are owned by IPG Mediabrands.

Shelley Smit, president at UM Canada, says the win won’t mean a lot of new hires for the agency, adding it has already grown in recent months due to wins on McCain Foods and Heinz.

Prior to the win Benjamin Moore’s Canadian media buying was handled by Groundzero. Creative work for the brand is handled by The Martin Agency out of the US.
