Slice takes on Elle Canada
The net's Project Runway Canada is on a roll with sponsorship announcements - and they've finally put a name on the show's official print partner.
Alliance Atlantis’ Slice network and Insight Productions announced yesterday that Elle Canada and the Fashion Design Council of Canada are on board as promotional partners for the October-premiering Project Runway Canada.
In addition to Elle Canada‘s on-air and online association with the series, the mag will promote the show with a 16-page exclusive supplement in its November issue. The insert will feature exclusive content and behind-the scenes looks inside the show, plus bios and profiles of Iman (host) and Brian Bailey (mentor), as well as the judges and designers.
The show’s grand prize was to include a cover and feature spread in a leading fashion mag for the winner. That spread will appear in Elle Canada‘s February 2008 issue. As well, Elle Canada editor-in-chief Rita Silvan will join the series as a permanent judge.
Elle Canada publisher Jacqueline Howe says the mag has 1.5 million style-conscious readers who will likely watch the show.
The Fashion Design Council of Canada will put three finalists from Project Runway Canada in front of an audience at the opening night of L’Oréal FashionWeek on October 22.
