Queens, rockstars and newlyweds in new OUTtv series

Five new series are launching this month, including a cult hit starring Olivia Newton-John, three lighthearted reality TV series and a serious drama about sex change operations.

OUTtv is launching five new series this winter, including US cult hit Sordid Lives: The Series which stars Olivia Newton-John as a lesbian living in a small Texas town with ‘bible-thumping Baptists and chain-smoking bar trash.’ Sordid Lives (12×30 minutes), which is a prequel to the award-winning play, targets adults 18 and up and will air Fridays at 8:30 p.m.

Debuting tonight at 8:30 is Two Queens and a Castle (6×30 minutes), a reality series about two millionaires who were the UK’s first gay married couple. The show, which features lavish birthday parties and drag queen auditions in the couple’s home, targets adults aged 30-plus.

One’s a blonde, the other a brunette – a show about attractive twin rocks musicians is targeting the under-30 crowd. Jacob & Joshua: Nemesis Rising (6×30 minutes), which airs Saturdays at 8:30 p.m., follows the Montana brothers on their almost-famous path with their band, Nemesis.

A more serious tone for Sex Change Hospital (6×60 minutes) is about a diverse group of patients who go to Colorado, the ‘sex change capitol of the world’ where they undergo a life-changing operation. Sex Change, which airs Sundays at 5 p.m., targets a more mature audience aged 30 years old and up.

Springtime for Hilli (6×30 minutes) is a story about a couple who want to plan the perfect wedding, enlisting the help of two charismatic wedding planners. The show airs Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. targeting the younger, 18-plus crowd.
