CTV has launched Autos.CTV.ca, a new ad-supported microsite aiming to be the go-to online destination for consumers looking for new or used vehicles. The microsite’s flagship feature is a search engine that links users to about 40,000 vehicles at 700 dealers across Canada.
That is what Canwest’s Driving.ca (which redirects to autos.canada.com) has been offering online users and advertisers for a while now. Canwest has been pushing video – Driving Television – at the site, but CTV’s video content will draw on reports from CTV Toronto’s Pat Foran and W-FIVE – including the show’s annual Automotive Protection Association special. Autos.CTV.ca will also feature news and editorial content by automotive journalists Michael Vaughan and Jeremy Cato.
The new site is a collaboration between CTVglobemedia, Edmonton-based software company Strathcom Media, UK-HQ’d auto market intelligence company JATO Dynamics Limited and members of the Canadian Franchised Automotive Dealer Associations.
