What woman doesn’t want to start her day with a rose?
Surprised commuters were greeted with roses from the hands of some dapper bachelors in tuxedos in front of Union Station this morning. ‘Will you accept this rose?’ they queried, smiling dashingly and giving the first clue that the stunt was part of Citytv’s promotion behind the latest season of The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love.
The second episode of the season airs tonight on Citytv at 8 p.m. ET., as 15 bachelorettes vie for the affection of one Jack Pavelka, commercial pilot. The premiere netted 2.7 million viewers, a 91% increase over the previous season of The Bachelor a year ago, according to the network.
The same stunt will take place at the Oakville GO station tonight between 5 and 6 p.m., in support of hometown contestant Jessie, who is still in the running for the role of Jake’s wife-to-be.
