MiC‘s Valentine K.I.S.S. Pick: Saturn enables florists to go green

Roses are nice, but GM Canada believes an even better treat on the most romantic day of the year is the cleaner air produced by its newest hybrid.

This Valentine’s Day, the Greater Toronto Area will be breathing a little easier thanks to GM Canada. To draw attention to its fuel-efficient 2007 Saturn Vue Green Line hybrid, the auto giant is decal-ing 19 of its ‘green’ vehicles and lending them to 16 area florists for the day. The promo is expected to save an estimated 371 litres of fuel and significantly reduce emissions.

To further spotlight the vehicle’s claim of delivering a 20% improvement in fuel efficiency, participating florists will be passing on their gas pump savings by offering 20% bonuses to Valentine’s Day customers – either as 20% more flowers or 20% off their next order. Sweet.
