Yahoo! Canada has launched an online soccer community, theKICK.ca, to promote the sport and highlight sponsorship of the Canadian Soccer Association. Yahoo! Canada announced yesterday it’s new role as national sponsor of the CSA, presenting sponsor of the men’s national under-20 team at the FIFA World Juniors, and the CSA’s Tide Mini Soccer program, an international youth development program targeted at children age 5-10.

The microsite, under the bold headline ‘Share Your Game,’ encourages users to control what’s seen, what’s said and what’s shared at theKICK.ca. It gives soccer fans, players and parents an online content environment that includes interactive tools like profiles, photo galleries and a blogger room. Video from around the world is showcased, along with experiences submitted by fans and players.
