CTV set to premiere Drive this week

It's drama, not reality, we think. The talent (ahem, Prison Break, ahem Lost) says drama, but the premise hints of reality TV.

CTV is giving a two-hour Friday 8 pm time slot to its new action-drama, Drive, starting April 13. The drama follows a group of strangers who join a sinister cross-country competition called ‘The Race’ in pursuit of a $32 million grand prize. The contestants aren’t told who they’re racing against or where the finish line is. The series stars Canadian actors Kristin Lehman (Prison Break) and Nathan Fillion (Lost), alongside a list of other ‘contestants.’

The series was given the green light for production by FOX last October. Drive is created and executive-produced by Tim Minear (The Inside, Wonderfalls) and Ben Queen. Greg Yaitanes (Grey’s Anatomy, Prison Break) directed and executive-produced the pilot.
