TSN inks French Open deal

First a major football deal and now tennis - the sports net is on a roll.

Just days after TSN and sister station CTV signed a three-year broadcast deal with the NFL, the sports specialty announced it has also acquired exclusive broadcast rights to the French Open for the next four years.

Following a deal with the Fédération Française de Tennis, TSN will provide live coverage of the French Open – including both men’s and women’s early round matches, quarter-finals, semifinals and finals, beginning this season through 2010. The net’s coverage of the 2007 French Open kicked off yesterday.
