Fokus Media now largest on-campus digital signage network in Canada

Recent additions in Montreal and Atlantic Canada mean the Montreal company's screens will be seen by half a million students.

When Fokus Media inked a deal with the University of Montreal this month, it became the largest digital signage network on the campuses of Canadian universities and colleges. Focused primarily on Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes, the Montreal-based company signed six new campuses in Atlantic Canada earlier this year.

Fokus’ network now reaches more than half a million students on 35 campuses, racking up an estimated 10 million impressions each month. Advertisers so far this year include Rogers, Telus, Bell, Bayer, Via Rail, Nova Scotia Government, Ford, Mazda, Pitney Bowes and Future Shop.

Additionally, Fokus president Gaetano Cardone says his company’s web portal currently has nearly 50,000 registered users, plus a partnership with, which has an exclusive Facebook contest application.
