Montreal-based Transcontinental Media is launching a custom communications agency in a joint venture with UK-based Seven Squared, the company behind the UK’s largest custom magazine, Sainsbury’s Magazine (for the grocery client).
Transcontinental Custom Communications will serve clients in Canada and the US with strategic and creative services for branded content – on both print and digital channels.
The company will integrate custom publishing print marketing solutions with database marketing, research, variable printing, photo studio and premedia tools. Seven Squared’s Nino Di Cara, from the company’s London, England operation, will manage the Toronto-based operations as director.
Seven Squared formed in April 2007, when Seven Publishing Group combined its custom publishing division with SquareOneGroup. The company’s total revenues stand at about $63 million. Transcontinental’s 2006 revenues reached $2.3 billion.
Transcontinental Media president Natalie Larivière says the combo of media talents from Transcontinental and Seven Squared will help clients with ‘increasingly global marketing strategies.’
