Transcontinental Media’s CanadianLiving.com has relaunched with a new social networking tool. The site now features daily updates, an improved recipe search, new blogs and forums, a ‘Test Kitchen’ video series, four e-newsletters and the social networking platform MyCL – which lets users create profiles, submit and share content and build their own personal recipe boxes, including reader and advertiser recipes.
National sales manager for online Chris Harris says the mag has invested in SEO and SEM to drive more traffic to the site. According to comScore Media Metrix, the site currently reaches an average of 621,000 unique visitors monthly.
Current advertisers and partners include Uncle Ben’s, The Running Room and Caramilk Deluxe, while contest promos currently feature Catelli Smart Pasta, Olay, Pledge Multi Surface and Febreze.
