Here are the national winners (for all persons 2+, all times ET), according to BBM/Nielsen, for Sept. 24-30, 2007.
News and daily shows: Only two daily shows made the national chart this time around. CTV Evening News at 6 pm fell nine spots to #15 with an average minute audience of 1.395 million viewers (up slightly from 1.372 million on the previous week’s national chart). The net’s Jeopardy/Access Hollywood at 7:30 pm fell eight spots to #22 with 1.189 million average on Monday and Friday.
Monday: CTV’s CSI: Miami won the night, falling one spot to #6 with 2.204 million viewers in the 10 pm time slot (up from 1.416 million). The net’s Dancing with the Stars, airing Monday and Tuesday in the 8-9:30 pm time slot, hit #9 with 1.728 million. Global’s Heroes at 9 pm hit #10 with 1.66 million, while Prison Break at 8 pm fell nine spots to #14 with 1.419 million (up from 1.4 million). CTV’s Corner Gas at 9:30 hit #20 with 1.233 million (up from 904,000).
Tuesday: Global’s House shot to the top of the chart – taking #1 with a whopping 3.299 million viewers in the 9 pm time slot. CTV’s Law & Order: SVU at 10 pm got about half that – climbing one spot to #11 with 1.648 million (up from 1.151 million). Global’s NCIS won the 8 pm time slot, hitting #13 with 1.603 million, while Cane made its first showing on the chart at #21 with 1.192 million viewers.
Wednesday: CTV’s CSI: New York at 10 pm won the night, climbing 16 spots to #5 with 2.303 million viewers (up from 898,000). The net’s Dancing with the Stars took the 8 pm time slot, hitting #8 with 1.89 million. And the net won 9 pm with Private Practice, which hit #12 with 1.616 million. Criminal Minds delivered 7 pm to CTV, hitting #18 with 1.273 million viewers (up from 888,000 in its previous Wednesday 9 pm time slot). Global’s Back To You at 8 pm fell 18 spots to #27 with 944,000 viewers (down from 1.234 million).
Thursday: CTV’s Grey’s Anatomy at 9 pm toppled the competition, winning the night at #2 with 2.576 million viewers (up from 881,000). Global’s Survivor: China at 8 pm fell two spots to #3 with 2.433 million (up slightly from 2.43 million). CTV’s CSI took 8 pm, climbing seven spots to #4 with 2.407 million (up from 1.157 million). CTV’s Big Shots hit the chart for the first time at #23 with 1.105 million viewers. The net’s ER fell two spots in the 7 pm time slot to #29 with 895,000 (up from 876,000). Global’s The Office at 9 pm took #30 with 882,000 viewers.
Friday: CTV’s Ghost Whisperer at 8 pm took #17 with 1.282 million viewers. Global’s Las Vegas at 9 pm came a close second, hitting #19 with 1.264 million viewers.
Saturday: Does Saturday prime time even exist? Not on this chart.
Sunday: CTV’s Desperate Housewives at 9 pm won the night, hitting #7 with 2.159 million viewers. The net’s Cold Case at 8 pm fell 14 spots to #16 with 1.305 million viewers (down from 1.659 million). CTV’s Dirty Sexy Money at 10 pm hit the chart for the first time at #24 with 1.092 million. Global’s The Simpsons at 8 pm fell 17 spots to #25 with 1.053 million (down from 1.368 million), while Family Guy at 9 pm fell 23 spots to #26 with 1.019 million (down from 1.44 million). Global’s Brothers & Sisters at 10 pm hit #28 with 942,000 viewers.
