Here are the national winners (for all persons 2+; all times ET), according to BBM/Nielsen, for Oct. 29-Nov. 4, 2007.
News and daily shows: CTV Evening News at 6 pm stepped up two spots to #15 with an average minute audience of 1.479 million viewers (down from 1.494 million on the previous week’s national chart). The net’s Jeopardy/Access Hollywood at 7:30 pm fell three spots to #24 with 1.272 million (up from 1.217 million).
Monday: CTV’s CSI: Miami at 10 pm fell one spot to #6 with 2.398 million (up from 2.386 million). The net’s Dancing with the Stars, airing 8-9:32 pm, fell two spots to #10 with 1.937 million (down from 2.022 million), while Corner Gas at 9:32 pm stepped up one spot to #17 with 1.404 million (down from 1.484 million). Global’s House at 8 pm hit #21 with 1.302 million (down slightly from the 1.318 million earned by Prison Break in that time slot the previous week). Global’s Heroes at 9 pm fell six spots to #26 with 1.23 million (down from 1.302 million).
Tuesday: Global’s House at 9 pm took #1 with 2.655 million (up from 2.433 million) against CTV’s Dancing with the Stars, which stayed at #13 with 1.547 million (down from 1.634 million). Global’s NCIS at 8 pm stayed at #12 with 1.558 million (down from 1.666 million) with no competition on this national chart. CTV’s Law & Order: SVU took 10 pm but fell 19 spots to #28 with 1.152 million (down from 1.895 million).
Wednesday: CTV’s CSI: New York at 10 pm fell to #2 with 2.471 million viewers (up from 2.461 million). The net’s Criminal Minds at 9 pm fell one spot to #4 with 2.414 million (down from 2.431 million), while Private Practice at 8 pm stayed at #14 with 1.539 million (down from 1.614 million).
Thursday: CTV’s Grey’s Anatomy at 9 pm climbed one spot to #3 with 2.455 million (up from 2.4 million) against Global’s Are You Smarter Than A Canadian 5th Grader?, which fell seven spots to #23 with 1.276 million (down from 1.502 million). CTV’s CSI at 8 pm jumped five spots to #5 with 2.406 million (up from 1.783 million) against Global’s Survivor: China, which fell one spot to #6 with 2.234 million (down from 2.244 million). CTV won 10 pm with ER, which stayed at #11 with 1.688 million (down from 1.731 million).
Friday: CTV’s Ghost Whisperer at 8 pm fell seven spots to #29 with 1.134 million viewers (down from 1.216 million).
Saturday: CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada Game One, airing 7-10:05 pm, climbed six spots to #25 with 1.329 million viewers (up from 1.094 million).
Sunday: CTV’s Amazing Race at 8 pm hit #8 and won the night with 2.141 million viewers against Global’s The Simpsons, which hit #22 with 1.296 million, and CBC’s Just for Laughs, which hit #30 with 1.131 million. The net’s Desperate Housewives at 9 pm fell two spots to #9 with 2.054 million (down from 2.097 million) against Global’s Family Guy, which hit #18 with 1.337 million at 8 pm and #25 with 1.256 million at 8:30 pm. CTV’s Cold Case at 7 pm climbed seven spots to #16 with 1.45 million (up from 1.127 million), while the net’s Law & Order: CI at 10 pm fell five spots to #20 with 1.315 million (down from 1.568 million).
