Here are the national winners (for all persons 2+; all times ET), according to BBM/Nielsen, for Nov. 26-Dec. 2.
News and daily shows: CTV Evening News at 6 pm climbed seven spots to #10 with an average minute audience of 1.656 million viewers (up from 1.542 million on the previous week’s national chart). The net’s Jeopardy/Access Hollywood at 7:30 pm jumped three spots to #18 with 1.25 million (up from 1.242 million). Global National at 5:30 pm hit #25 with 963,000 viewers. CTV’s Dr. Phil at 5 pm hit #27 with 958,000. The CTV National News at 11 pm hit #29 with 939,000 viewers.
Monday: CTV’s Dancing with the Stars at 8 pm jumped to the top spot on the chart this week with 2.535 million viewers (up from 2.308 million). The net’s CSI: Miami at 10 pm fell one spot to #6 with 2.403 million (down from 2.578 million). Global’s Heroes won 9 pm, climbing three spots to #17 with 1.292 million (up from 1.27 million), while House at 8 pm hit #22 with 1.151 million (up from 1.046 million).
Tuesday: CTV’s Dancing with the Stars at 9 pm jumped nine spots to #2 with 2.494 million viewers (up from 1.694 million) against Global’s House, which fell three spots to #5 with 2.427 million (down from 2.714 million). At 8 pm, CTV’s Law & Order: SVU fell two spots to #14 with 1.433 million (down from 1.694 million) and barely won the time slot against Global’s NCIS, which fell two spots to #15 with 1.425 million (down from 1.671 million). CBC’s Rick Mercer Report at 8 pm stayed at #26 with 962,000 viewers (down from 1.031 million). Global’s Bones took the 10 pm time slot, falling one spot to #23 with 1.095 million (down from 1.112 million).
Wednesday: CTV’s Criminal Minds at 9 pm stayed at #3 with 2.462 million viewers (down from 2.641 million), while CSI: New York stepped up two spots to #4 with 2.459 million (same as last week’s chart). Global’s Kitchen Nightmares at 9 pm hit #28 with 951,000 viewers. CBC’s Fifth Estate at 9 pm hit #30 with 911,000 viewers.
Thursday: Global’s Survivor: China at 8 pm won the night, climbing seven spots to #8 with 2.187 million viewers (up from 1.598 million). CTV’s CSI took #19 at 8 pm with 1.215 million and #11 at 9 pm with 1.631 million, while ER at 10 pm hit #13 with 1.459 million.
Friday: No shows on this national chart!
Saturday: CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada Game One hit the chart again at #20 with 1.214 million viewers.
Sunday: CTV’s Desperate Housewives at 9 pm was back in full force to win the night, stepping up one spot to #7 with 2.335 million viewers (up from 2.166 million). The net’s Amazing Race at 8 pm climbed one spot to #9 with 2.104 million (up from 1.855 million), while Law & Order: CI at 10 pm climbed from the bottom of the chart to #12 with 1.518 million (up from 969,000). Global’s Brothers & Sisters at 10 pm jumped up two spots to #21 with 1.162 million (up from 1.062 million), while Family Guy at 9 pm hit #24 with 987,000 viewers.
