The just-released 2008 calendar from the National Advertising Benevolent Society is another corker. Last year, the agency folks did take-offs on popular movies. This time around, with the theme of ‘NABS ROCKS,’ they’ve had some fun duplicating classic album covers.
More than 30,000 copies of the NABS Calendar will be distributed to Canadian marketers during December. The goal is to generate close to $40,000 for the unique business charity that provides assistance to Canadian advertising and media professionals who need help due to illness, injury, unemployment or financial difficulties.
‘The response to this initiative from across the communications community has been incredibly supportive,’ says NABS president/CEO Mike Fenton. ‘With the industry being affected by significant changes at the media level and in the workplace, the need for assistance for our colleagues, friends and their families is at an all-time high.’
