OLN to air frontline soldiers’ messages on Christmas Day

Holiday wishes from Afghanistan will air during episodes of Truth, Duty, Valour, after which a best-OLN-eps marathon will round out the year.

Messages from Canadian soldiers serving in Afghanistan will be broadcast Christmas Day from 3-6 pm ET/12-6 PT during episodes of Truth Duty Valour, a series that provides an in-depth look at the Canadian Forces. The episodes will show the intense training and hardships faced by Canada’s young men and women in the Navy, Army or Air Force in both combat and peacekeeping zones.

During the last week of 2007, OLN is offering a best-of marathon of favourite OLN shows every evening. This begins at 6 pm ET with episodes of ‘Survivorman,’ followed at 7 pm by episodes of Mantracker. Episodes from Ed’s Up!, starring Ed Robertson from the Barenaked Ladies, will air at 8 pm ET, followed by episodes from Crash Addicts at 8:30 pm ET.

A look into the lives of Alberta oil and gas industry workers in The Rig will air at 9 pm ET, and a sneak peak of the second season of the series The Rig: Oil Sands will air Dec. 26 at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT. Then, at 9:30 pm ET, a team of seven strangers travels the world to raise awareness for Parkinson’s’ disease in Odyssey: Driving Around the World.

At 10 pm ET, there’s OLN’s original travel adventure series, Don’t Forget Your Passport. And the marathon will finish off at 11 pm ET with Pilot Guides, featuring visits to places like Turks and Caicos, Sweden and Denmark.
