Discovery Health Channel is set to premiere three series in May. Bodywork: Australia, a transformation/makeover show that involves a blend of medical necessity and pure self-improvement procedures, hits the air Thursdays at 12 am ET/9 pm PT starting May 22. Snip & Tuck: New York, a plastic surgery clinic real drama, hits Thursday’s 10 pm ET/7 pm PT time slot starting May 15. The second season of Eataholics, which puts nutritionist Nathalie Savona and psychological coach Benjamin Fry to work solving seven people’s eating habits and disorders, will premiere on May 28 in the Wednesday 9 pm ET/6 pm PT time slot.
The Food Network is set to premiere Road Grill hosted by ex-CFL pro Matt Dunigan, on May 19 – and the net’s putting the show on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 2 pm and 7 pm ET. In each ep, Dunigan leads a grill team from ultimate tournaments to skydiving jamborees to set up and serve healthy BBQ treats. The net will premiere Boy Meets Grill on May 20, putting it in the Thursdays 2 pm and 7 pm time slots. Each ep is an adventure to collect ingredients and inspiration at top spots in New York for what will ultimately be an outdoor feast on an urban rooftop. Finally, Rachael Ray hits France’s top wine stops and restaurants in Rachael’s Vacation: Bordeaux.
No new series have been announced for Slice’s May sked yet, but the net will premiere the second season of Superstar Hair Challenge (hosted by hairstylist Mark Anthony) on May 6 in the Tuesday 9 pm ET/PT time slot, followed on May 7 by the third season premiere of X-Weighted in the Wednesdays 8 pm ET/PT time slot, and by the second season of The List (hosted by Lisa Fromer) on May 9 in the Friday 8:30 pm time slot.
HGTV has a kitchen design event marked for Saturday, May 3 from 1-5 pm ET. The countdown includes several encores of design inc. and Designer Guys, leading in to the premiere of My Parent’s House: Schuberth Family at 3:30 pm and Top 10 Amazing Kitchens at 4 pm. On Victoria Day (Monday, May 19), the net has a World’s Most Extreme Homes marathon event on the sked for 1-6 pm ET.
