Gordon named CHUM Radio president

The former VP/GM of CFRA, TEAM 1200, Majic 100, Bob 93.9 FM and A-Channel Ottawa succeeds Duff Roman, who will remain with the company.

CTVglobemedia announced yesterday that Chris Gordon has been appointed president of the company’s radio division, effective immediately.

With CHUM Radio for the past 10 years, Gordon was most recently VP/GM of CFRA, TEAM 1200, Majic 100, Bob 93.9 FM and A-Channel Ottawa. Prior to joining CHUM, he held senior radio positions in London and Calgary, building a solid track record in both small and large markets.

‘Chris brings a unique mix of skills as a successful operator of a combined radio/TV station group and as a strategist with well-developed insights into the future of the fiercely competitive Canadian radio industry,’ notes Ivan Fecan, president/CEO of CTVglobemedia and CEO of CTV.

Gordon is succeeding Duff Roman, who served as acting head of the CHUM Radio group during the transition period, and will remain with the company in an unspecified capacity.
