Here are the national winners (for all persons 2+; all times ET), according to BBM/Nielsen, for March 31-April 6.
News and daily shows: CTV Evening News at 6 pm hit #10 with an average minute audience of 1.444 million viewers (up from 1.431 million on the previous week’s national chart). The net’s Jeopardy/Access Hollywood at 7:30 pm took #17 with 1.113 million (up from 1.082 million) for its Tuesday, Thursday and Friday averages. CTV National News at 11 pm hit #22 with 926,000. Global National at 5:30 pm took #26 with 843,000 (down from 956,000), while News Hour at 6 pm hit # 27 with 831,000 (down from 871,000). Global’s The Young & The Restless at 4:30 pm took #29 with 803,000 (down from 845,000).
Monday: CTV’s CSI: Miami at 10 pm hit #5 with 2.039 million (up from 1.969 million). The net’s Dancing with the Stars, airing 8-9:36 pm, took #8 with 1.871 million (up from 1.867 million), while Corner Gas at 9:36 pm hit #21 with 962,000 viewers. Global’s House at 8 pm took #23 with 888,000 (down from 1.098 million).
Tuesday: CTV’s American Idol at 8 pm hit #2 with 2.647 million (up from 2.373 million). The net’s CSI: Miami at 10 pm took #7 with 1.945 million (up from Law & Order: SVU‘s 1.132 million in the previous week’s 10 pm time slot), while Dancing with the Stars at 9 pm hit #9 with 1.715 million (down from 1.875 million). Global’s NCIS at 8 pm took #19 with 1.039 million (up from 876,000).
Wednesday: CTV’s American Idol at 9 pm hit #3 with 2.143 million (down from 2.356 million). The net’s CSI: New York at 10 pm took #4 with 2.047 million (up from 1.366 million). The Moment of Truth at 8 pm delivered another primetime win to CTV, hitting #12 with 1.284 million (up from 1.185 million). At 7 pm, CTV’s Criminal Minds took #14 with 1.172 million. Global’s Big Brother at 8 pm settled at #28 with 812,000 viewers (down from 855,000).
Thursday: CTV’s CSI at 9 pm hit #1 with 3.021 million (up from 1.641 million), while the show took #13 at 8 pm with 1.21 million (down from Law & Order: CI‘s 1.278 million in that time slot the previous week). Global’s Survivor: Micronesia at 8 pm took #6 with 2.01 million (up from Deal or No Deal‘s 1.001 million in that time slot the previous week). CTV’s Eli Stone at 10 pm hit #20 with 984,000 viewers (up from 944,000).
Friday: CTV’s Ghost Whisperer returned to the chart at #15 with 1.161 million viewers.
Saturday: CTV Evening News at 6 pm hit #16 with 1.139 million for its Saturday-Sunday average (up from 1.068 million). CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada Game One, airing 7-10:05 pm, took #18 with 1.084 million (down from 1.14 million).
Sunday: CTV’s Juno Awards, airing 8-10 pm, hit #11 on the national chart with an average of 1.382 million viewers (the awards did not make last year’s national chart). The net’s Dexter at 10 pm hit #24 with 864,000 viewers. Global’s Big Brother at 8 pm took #25 with 847,000. CBC’s Sunday Night News hit #30 with 783,000 viewers.
