Canwest’s E! Network is geared up to launch a host of new shows this spring and summer. The series opener, Fear Itself, about a rookie cop (Elizabeth Moss, Mad Men), is scheduled for June 5 at 10pm ET/PT.
For reality fans, there’s Celebrity Circus, slated to premiere on June 11 at 9pm ET/PT. The celebrity-driven unscripted series features Joey Fatone, of N’Sync fame, as the ringmaster and six celebrities pitted against each other in head-to-head competitions including ‘death-defying’ circus stunts.
Reality television dominates the rest of E!’s summer selection with the debut of shows that delve into the lives of two of Hollywood’s most vivacious vixens, a celebrity sibling and well-to-do housewives of southern California. Pamela is an observational documentary series that offers viewers a glance into the personal life of Canadian Hollywood icon Pamela Anderson (premiere TBA).
And Living Lohan is a new non-scripted series that stars Dina Lohan, mother of Lindsay, who guides her youngest daughter, Ali, while pursuing her own shot at stardom (premiere TBA).
Former Bond girl Denise Richards is featured in Denise Richards: It’s Complicated, premiering on May 26 at 10pm ET/PT. The series follows the 36-year-old actress and single mom as she tries to get her life back on track after her high-profile divorce from actor Charlie Sheen (Two and a Half Men).
The first season of fan favourite The Real Housewives of Orange County is also set to make its E! debut this summer. The series probes the lives of five privileged housewives who live in a gated community in California’s famed Orange County.
E! will also be offering programming for moms in celebration of Mother’s Day. Beginning Saturday, May 10, at 11am ET/PT with Hollywood Baby Boom 2, weekend programming will also include Raising Celebrity: Tales of Hollywood Moms at 12pm ET/PT, Hollywood’s 10 Most Compelling Mama Dramas at 1pm ET/PT and Style Star: Mommy Chic on Sunday May 11 at 1:30pm ET/PT.
Finally, for those who’ve been eagerly anticipating the Sex and the City movie, which arrives in theatres in May, E! will dedicate the May 19 holiday Monday to the series-turned-movie with Style Star: Sarah Jessica Parker at 1pm ET/PT, Style Star: Sex and the City at 1:30pm ET/PT, E! Special: Sarah Jessica Parker at 2pm ET/PT and two hours of True Hollywood Story: The Women of Sex and the City at 3pm ET/PT.
