Premiere dates set for The Hills, Gossip Girl, Instant Star

MTV's #1 series makes its conventional network debut on CTV on June 1, while GG returns on May 30 and the fourth season of IS bows June 8.

The Hills, renowned as MTV’s #1 series, will make its worldwide conventional network debut on CTV on June 1 at 7 pm ET, then move to its regular time slot of Sundays at 7:30 pm on June 8. In the one-hour season premiere, ‘Paris Changes Everything,’ (pictured) lead characters Lauren and Whitney take a glamorous trip to Paris for Teen Vogue to attend an international gala for debutantes.

Gossip Girl will be back with five new episodes beginning Friday, May 30 at 9 pm ET. Based on the best-selling series of young-adult novels and executive produced by Josh Schwartz (Chuck, The O.C.) and Canadian Stephanie Savage (The O.C.), GG is a one-hour drama about the lives of privileged Manhattan prep school teens. Buffy the Vampire Slayer‘s Michelle Trachtenberg joins the cast in the new eps.

Season 4 of Instant Star will begin at 7 pm ET on June 8 (leading into The Hills) with three new rising stars added to the cast: Kyle Riabko, who recently landed the lead role in the Broadway musical Spring Awakening; Cassie Steele (Degrassi: The Next Generation); and Tatiana Maslany (Sabbatical, Flash of Genius).

Episodes from this season of Instant Star will be made available the day after broadcast on iTunes. The series will also extend its brand with 11 new companion webisodes on CTV.ca and, as in earlier years, a compilation CD set of season 4 will be released.
