Toronto-based JumpTV will be in charge of developing and hosting a new, completely redesigned web platform for the Los Angeles-based World Championship Sports Network (WCSN.com). The revamped site will launch globally this spring.
The transition to JumpTV will provide a new web backend and user interface for WCSN, along with a dynamic video portal, e-commerce (merchandising, auctions and mobile) and social networking capabilities. JumpTV will integrate its One Fan Profile customer relationship management (CRM) into WCSN.com. The offering will give WCSN integrated tracking abilities to study users’ behaviours and interests, then optimize the end-user experience.
‘Our collaboration with JumpTV will enable us to deliver an immersive online experience which includes television-quality event streaming along with the user interactivity only the web can provide,’ says WCSN president and COO Carlos Silva.
JumpTV, which originally launched as a multilingual Internet broadcasting destination, began snapping up sports properties last year in a bid to reach more audiences with programming such as cycling and NCAA games. JumpTV now has more than 175 international, professional and collegiate sports partners using its web services.
‘Our alliance with WCSN couldn’t come at a more exciting time as the world gears up for Beijing in August,’ says JumpTV president Nada Usina. ‘What’s more, it represents an incredible opportunity for JumpTV to deliver WCSN’s championship sports content to a massive global audience online.’
