Asian Television Network, already Canada’s largest distributor of world cricket matches, announced yesterday it has secured Canadian broadcast rights for the England and Wales Cricket Board.
This will no doubt come as welcome news to many of the 6.5 million Canadian residents of British heritage, plus many more from South Asia, Australia and the Caribbean, who enjoy watching cricket. The current ECB season runs until Sept. 24, and will be broadcast live across Canada, then rebroadcast on ATN Cricket Plus or CBN, depending on locale. The lineup includes a mix of test cricket machines, one-day international games and popular Twenty20 format games.
