ABC to launch new e-Data centre

Customized search and reports to help media buyers with print data are some of the new features set to go live at the Audit Bureau of Circulations next week.

The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) is launching a newly designed e-Data centre, complete with a suite of media analysis tools, June 9. The enhancements include more streamlined navigation, increased search functionality and easier compiling of custom reports.

The ABC says the new media analysis tools will help media buyers improve workflow and efficiency. Unlike current e-Data tools that require users to search by product, the new tools begin with a search by title, parent company, classification, market or circulation size.

ABC director of marketing and sales Gladys Searcy says: ‘The new customized search capabilities of the e-Data tools encourage more user interaction with ABC data. Previously our members had to weed through pages of FAS-FAX reports for specific titles. With the new tools, they have the ability to select specific titles and create their own customized FAS-FAX reports.’

New e-Data features include search results that appear in multiple product tabs; customizable FAS-FAX reports (allowing the user to download specific titles into reports and conduct side-by-side analyses); batch reports (with the opportunity to view, save and print several ABC reports at one time); a pre-print projection centre (an online tool designed to streamline communication between newspapers and advertisers); and an audience-FAX trending tool (which lets users create trending reports by period for circulation, average print and online readership, total combined audience and total unique website users).

New on-demand tutorials will be available, such as an overview of e-Data products and instructions on using search methods to customize eFAS-FAX and using estatements.
