News and daily shows: CTV Evening News at 6 pm hit #3 with an average minute audience of 1.235 million viewers (up from 1.202 million on the previous week’s national chart), while CTV National News at 11 pm took #18 with 780,000 (up from 653,000). The net’s Jeopardy/Access Hollywood at 7:30 pm hit #11 with 910,000 (up from 868,000). Global’s The Young & The Restless at 4:30 pm took #15 with 806,000 (down from 830,000). Global National at 5:30 pm hit #21 with 760,000 (up from 713,000), while News Hour at 6 pm took #22 with 757,000 (up from 704,000). The CBC’s National News at 10 pm hit #26 with 580,000 (down from 653,000).
Monday: CTV’s Canadian Idol averaged 1.233 million for the Monday and Tuesday 9 pm time slot (down from 1.379 million) and hit #4 on the national chart. The net’s CSI: Miami at 10 pm took #9 with 976,000 (down from 1.129 million). Global’s Bones at 8 pm hit #13 with 899,000 (down from 1.006 million), while House at 9 pm took #17 with 789,000 (down from 855,000). CTV’s Corner Gas at 8 pm hit #30 with 543,000 (down from 672,000).
Tuesday: Aside from Canadian Idol (see Monday), CTV’s Law & Order: SVU at 10 pm hit #8 with 1.015 million (down from 1.226 million), while The Moment of Truth at 8 pm took #16 with 797,000 (down from 1.133 million). Global’s Deal or No Deal at 8 pm hit #20 with 765,000 (down from 990,000 achieved by NCIS in that time slot the previous week).
Wednesday: CTV’s So You Think You Can Dance, airing 8-10 pm, averaged 1.496 million (down from 1.632 million) and hit #2, while the net’s CSI: New York at 10 pm took #5 with 1.152 million (down from 1.347 million).
Thursday: CTV’s So You Think You Can Dance at 9 pm hit #1 with 1.521 million (up from 1.386 million). The net’s Law & Order: CI at 10 pm took #6 with 1.148 million (up from 1.084 million), while CSI at 8 pm hit #7 with 1.023 million (down from Million Dollar Password‘s 1.301 million average the previous week).
Friday: CTV’s Without a Trace at 10 pm hit #19 with 773,000 (down from 800,000), while Ghost Whisperer took #23 with 701,000 viewers. Global’s Numb3rs at 10 pm hit #28 with 556,000 (down from 676,000).
Saturday: CTV’s Evening News weekend programming at 6 pm attracted a Saturday-Sunday average of 839,000 (up from 702,000), while the net’s W-Five at 7 pm hit #29 with 553,000 viewers.
Sunday: CTV’s Million Dollar Password at 8 pm hit #10 with 922,000 viewers, while Cold Case at 9 pm took #12 with 904,000. Global’s Family Guy at 9 pm hit #24 with 649,000 (down from 670,000), while The Simpsons at 8 pm took #27 with 570,000 (up from 564,000). CBC’s Maria performances at 8 pm hit #25 with 592,000 (up from 590,000).
