Spin Master double-decker-sizes Bakugan

To hype its Bakugan action game, the toy maker is animating Toronto's Yonge-Dundas Square.

Spin Master’s Bakugan Battle Brawlers, reportedly the most-sought-after toy in North America, will dominate Toronto’s Yonge-Dundas Square on two of the giant boards on the Outdoor Broadcast Network’s media tower beginning July 21.

‘The Bakugan brand is all about action, excitement and fun,’ says Jon Banack, Spin Master’s exec producer, creative services. ‘There is no better place in Canada than the heart of the city of Toronto and Canada’s liveliest and most interactive destination – Yonge-Dundas Square – to promote a product like Bakugan to kids and families.’

The six-week campaign includes both components on the right side of OBN’s media tower above the Toronto Eaton Centre. Totaling 3,600 square feet of advertising space, the 60 x 40-foot Trivision board will feature multiple messages depicting Dan, the main character in Bakugan, and the other Bakugan characters with the tagline, ‘How do you roll?’ Directly below, on a 30 x 40-foot video board – which will be synchronized with the higher board – elements promoting Bakugan and its companion hit animated TV series on Teletoon will be displayed.

Spin Master handled the creative in-house and did the media buy directly.
